 CHRISTIANITY IS SO MUCH MORE THAN RELIGION. It is the way we manifest our faith in daily living by representing Christ and His teachings. To become this image of Christ, we must be changed, we must become like Him. We are human, and in our humanity we experience hurt, brokenness and sin. As we seek God, He reveals the conflicts that hinder us from living out Christ's love and becoming His examples. As we allow God to work in our lives, we often need the additional help that can be found in a program such as lifeEnrichment. lifeEnrichment is Mt. Zion's instrument to helping you become changed and restored...one step at a time.
What is lifeEnrichment?
lifeEnrichment is a program of Mt. Zion that provides instruction on how to improve your life so that you can experience the best that life has to offer. All of the classes focus on changing mindsets and behaviors that can stand in the way of leading productive and peaceful lives. We believe that no matter how good your life is, it can be better!
The mission of the program is to equip people to overcome adverstity and temptation, allowing them to mature in Christ. lifeEnrichment teaches that through the redemptive power of God, we can be delivered from bondage and recover all that God intended for us. lifeEnrichment provides a place of refuge for hurting people and offers hope for any situation through anointed words of encouragement. We teach the importance of being strong in the Lord and the power of His might, to stand against anything (Eph. 6:10-11). lifeEnrichment was birthed out of Isaiah 61 and the promises concerning God's work in our lives and in our circumstances. It speaks of being called to:
• Heal the broken hearted
• Liberate those in captivity and set free though who are bound
• Comfort all who mourn
• Rebuild, repair, and raise up
• Take away shame and give honor
• Take away confustion and give joy
Each session provides a small group setting where, through the oversight of a trained leader, individuals can share with others having similar needs. Although lifeEnrichment has been designed to fulfill the total needs of an individual, there must be a joint effort to ensure a complete restoration. For example, a man who has been abusing a substance must first deal with his addiction, then if his health, finances, or family have been affected, he needs support in these areas too. He must find out why he turned to a substance in the first place, understand his role as a responsible man of God, take charge of his life and bring stablity to his family. Restoration is a process. It takes time, encouragement, and the opportunity. We provide the latter, would you be wiling to take the time?
